Cairns

Shirley and Adam flew into Cairns a couple of days after I arrived. The first pub we walk into and what do we find - our neighbours from Melbourne - times past. Graham and Sue were travelling in their caravan and had been away from home for months. "Of all the gin joints..." or something like that.. 

  

Huge public swimming 'hole' in the centre of town and on the water front.

Shirley didn't take long to get into the swing of things.

Out for dinner - everyone is very informal.  Walk home along the esplanade.
